Interview
How did you get to your instrument?
Through friends I got to know rock and metal and immediately wanted to be able to play the guitar myself.
What fascinates you about your instrument?
I find it very exciting to explore the many tonal possibilities of the instrument. In the process, challenges arise again and again. The sense of achievement that comes from growing is addictive.
What has helped you the most when practising?
The exchange with other music enthusiasts and musicians broadens the horizon. Since music exists in the moment and one's own perception is selective and also has to develop first, frequent repetition both in listening and playing is essential in order to grasp all the details.
What do you pay particular attention to when teaching?
The students' personal goals should be achieved. The individual way to achieve this must be found and be fun.
What has been your greatest experience as a musician so far?
My greatest experience as a musician is always when I get into such a flow that my own playing surprises me.
On which equipment do you prefer to play?
Since I like to modify my instruments to suit their use, my equipment is my favourite.
What else is important in your life besides music?
Sport, friends and family.
