Interview

What fascinates you about jamming with others?
There is nothing better than sharing music with other people. At a jam, this happens spontaneously and a new conversation is created between the musicians every time.

What do you like about leading the workshop?
I find it very exciting that every workshop is different and you never know at the beginning what is going to happen. The workshop naturally has a certain structure. However, this also allows you to respond to spontaneous questions or ideas from the participants.

What do you pay attention to when leading the workshop?
I make sure that all participants are well prepared so that the jam can work. Afterwards, everyone should have plenty of time to play.

What equipment do you prefer to play on?
For me, nothing works without my Strat via the Twin Reverb. I also like to use all kinds of effects pedals.

What has been your greatest experience as a musician so far?
On the one hand, it always thrills me to play live. For example, with my band Fraîche at the packed Barfi at the JKF. On the other hand, I had the honor of recording for the great Michael Lloyd in his studio in Beverly Hills. I was able to play on equipment that legends like Jimmy Page had in their hands. Not to forget the many encounters and experiences at the Musicians Institute in LA.

What else is important to you in your life besides music?
I try to enjoy life to the full and learn more and more about life itself. I try to take every moment as it comes. I enjoy spending time with my friends, my family and my cats. I find sport, culture and politics exciting.
