Interview

How did you get into singing?
Through my family at family celebrations, through school bands and bands

What fascinates you about singing?
I think ‚singing‘ is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Anyone can learn it, develop in it and create their own absolutely unique sound! Singing is also incredibly liberating – very intuitively you find your own personal expression. These things are much harder to achieve on another instrument.

What helped you the most when practising?
Practising was difficult for me for a long time. For a long time I didn’t really know where to start. In the meantime, I have learned to divide big tasks into smaller learning units. We all learn a little differently, but for me this now means doing short, structured and effective learning sessions. I can therefore give you good tips and tricks on how to motivate yourself and practise efficiently, because I have spent a long time working on this myself.

What do you pay special attention to when teaching?
From my experience, it helps a lot at the beginning if the lessons are clearly structured. This way you quickly learn effective exercises that you can then continue practising at home.

For me this means supporting you with meaningful exercises while addressing your specific interests and concerns / needs right from the start.

What has been your greatest experience as a musician so far?
There are a few: singing with big bands, performing at various jazz festivals such as Stanser Musiktage, Arosa Sounds, JazzAscona

Which instrument do you prefer to accompany yourself with?
Preferably on the piano or with a groovy backing track, for which there are now great possibilities

What else is important in your life besides music?
Meeting friends, game nights, doing sports, spending time in nature
