Interview

How did you get to the piano?

In our family on my mother's side, everyone played the piano, some of them at a professional level, so there was no question that I would also learn the piano, but professionally I didn't decide to become a musician until I was 17.

What fascinates you about the piano?

There are many things, but perhaps the two most important are that the piano can produce many different timbres and that it is perhaps the most suitable instrument for composing music.

What is crucial for you when practicing?

The fact that I wanted to learn every Bach piece taught me great patience and perseverance. This helped me a lot later on, whether on stage or when teaching.

What do you pay particular attention to when teaching?

It is very important to me that the lessons and the music itself bring joy to the students. It is also important that there is always progress

What has been your greatest experience as a musician so far?

The best experience for me was an unforgettable solo concert at the Budapest Academy of Music. It was a completely improvised concert, during and after which I felt completely liberated and - in a good sense - empty.

On which equipment do you prefer to play?

My favorite instruments to play are the Steinway D model and the Bösendorfer Imperial.

What else is important in your life besides music?

Besides the music, the harmony of body and soul is the most important thing for me. For example, correct breathing and daily contact with nature.
