Interview

How did you get into singing?

My mother sang in various choirs and that's how music found me. Very soon I wanted to sing along myself and then music and singing became one of the most important things in my life.

What fascinates you about singing?

I am very fascinated by what is possible with the singing voice when you learn to know, understand and use it as a part of the instrument "human body". And what emotions can be created and channeled through it.

What is crucial for you when practicing?

Patience, diligence and trust in my voice and in my singing teacher ;).
In addition, it always helps to have a little courage to try something new.

What do you pay special attention to when teaching?

I want to be a sensitive and professional companion for my students. Mutual trust, knowledge, technique, creativity and perseverance are essential elements for me to progress step by step in voice and ear training. Singing lessons should be fun and create a sense of achievement that motivates and strengthens.

What has been your greatest experience as a singer so far?

I remember some magical moments that were the greatest in different ways. But I still have very much in mind a summer open-air festival, where I could completely unfold on stage in candlelight with my band "Lynxz".

Can you accompany yourself? On which instrument?

When teaching, I accompany my students on the piano or use backing tracks. When creating my own music, I prefer to play with my band, because I really appreciate the versatility of each instrument and character, and songwriting is so much more fun that way.

What else is important in your life besides music?

Most important to me is openness to all the sounds and nuances of this world and the many facets of life. Friendship, love and enjoyment help.
